Sale - Shade Sails

⁠⁠⁠The upper Shade Sails situated within the courtyard of Council’s Administration Building, 119 – 145 Spence Street Cairns (including the steel members and associated fittings) will be removed permanently and is being offered for sale.

A reserve price has been set on the materials. Council reserves the right not to accept offers below this reserve and may dispose of the materials by an alternative means.

Enquiries:The Shade Sails are currently in-site and can be viewed at any time from the courtyard, between the hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm weekdays. If a closer inspection or more information is required, please contact Edward Martin at e.martin@cairns.qld.gov.auto arrange an inspection of the Shade Sails.

It is a stipulation of the sale that the winning bidder has available plant, at short notice, to remove the materials off site after it has been dismantled and stored at ground level by Council. The expected time period the Shade Sails will be dismantled is during December 2019. All interested bidders will be notifed of the date once confirmed.
