The NSW Government has announced reforms to improve bus services for customers and commence the transition of Sydney’s fleet to zero emission buses.
Transport for NSW will shortly be commencing a competitive tendering process for bus contracts across Sydney with the aim of introducing additional bus services, innovative new service options and a new fleet of zero emission buses that will reduce air and noise pollution.
The process will commence in 2020 and will for the first time include services operated by State Transit in Sydney Metropolitan Bus Service Contract regions 7, 8 and 9.
An Initial Industry Briefing will be held in Sydney on the morning of Tuesday 10 December 2019 to provide additional information to prospective bus operators and to initiate a period of Market Sounding to help refine the procurement process
