Tender Details
Tender Description
Corrections Victoria (CV) have identified and documented the requirement for a Food Industries building operating within the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC) to meet the demands of additional prisoner numbers.
The Industries building is a recently constructed precast concrete structure located within the existing Prisoner Industry precinct. The new building accommodates a food processing facility which was designed for the purpose of preparing fresh produce for distribution across the prison network. This enables the women to participate in meaningful work and provides translatable skills for their transition on release and is an important part of Corrections Victoria policy.
This project involves engaging a contractor to prepare the site identified for the DPFC Food Industries Project.
The brief of scope for the DPFC Food Industries Project involves the modification and installation of new electrical, hydraulic and mechanical ancillary services for commercial kitchen equipment. This project also involves the installation, testing and commissioning of food preparation equipment. There will be no requirement for the contractor to procure the equipment, this will be managed by Prison Industries.
