Tender ID: 403275
Tender Details
Tender Description
Expanding access and choice of primary mental health and addiction services, particularly for those experiencing mild to moderate needs, is a flagship initiative for Government and the cornerstone of the Wellbeing Budget 2019. In addition to focusing on equity of outcomes for specific populations in the general approach, the Wellbeing Budget allocated funding specifically towards culturally-relevant Māori and Pacific primary and community mental health and addiction wellbeing initiatives. This is in recognition that Māori and Pacific populations experience disproportionally higher rates of mental health and addiction issues.
This tender proposes to further enhance primary and community mental health and addiction services for Māori across Aotearoa New Zealand by expanding and or replicating existing Māori Primary Mental Health and Addiction services.services that Māori can access directly. The services will primarily but not exclusively be delivered to Māori populations. Elements of co-design and prior evaluation of the services will be a favourable consideration.
We are seeking your existing services for the expansion and/or replication of existing services that will provide immediate support to address the needs of Māori with mild to moderate distress. Essential to the services is ensuring that there are effective mechanisms in place to link with other health, social and community services including general practice, secondary mental health and addiction services and cultural and social supports as required.
