1 x Business Analyst

⁠⁠⁠The Department requires the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Business Analyst (BA) to undertake the following tasks:
 

•  Support Project Managers with project management activities including planning and delivery based on robust business cases and in partnership with the department’s business areas;
•  Take responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution;
•  Seek to fully address client needs, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of client personnel, by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately exploited;
•  Take responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in:
• Information systems;
• Information management;
• Practices;
• Procedures; and
• Organisational change;
•  Apply and monitor the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives;
•  Conduct investigations at a high level for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies;
•  Prepare business cases which define:
• Potential benefits;
•  Options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes; and
• Associated business risks;
•  Work with the project teams to administer and coordinate a range of business analysis activities;
•  Build and maintain effective working relationships with technical professionals, team members and stakeholders;
•  Assist in the production of project status reports and artefacts throughout the project lifecycle to meet expected business outcomes, schedules, costs and quality criteria;
•  Assist in the planning and delivery of projects using the department’s project management frameworks and product development approaches e.g. Prince2, MSP and Agile;
•  Facilitate the successful adoption of project deliverables by business areas, as they relate your role; and
•  Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by the Program Manager.
