Tender Description
Adani Mining Pty Ltd is developing the Carmichael Coal Mine within the Galilee Basin. The mining lease is located approximately 160k north-west of Clermont. To ensure effective operation of the proposed mine, Carmichael Rail Network Pty Ltd (“Company”) is proposing to construct a new narrow gauge railway to transport coal from the Carmichael Coal Mine to the port at Abbot Point.
The Company requires the Contractor to develop a logistic and feasibility study to incorporate the following:
- Estimation on freight movements based on Adani’s supplier contracts
- Detailed review of all materials and origin
- Transport routes and limitations
- Draft transport schedule/delivery simulations
- Overview of potential port of entries (import)
- Review of potential storage/staging areas near project site
- Overview of handling equipment, packaging, receipting and resources
- Overview of potential risk and safety concerns
- Overview of potential efficiencies and cost saving areas
- Identifying key stakeholder (internal and external) points of contact to ensure efficiency
