Provision of High Voltage (11kV/6.6kV) Indoor Switchgear Panels

⁠⁠⁠Aurora Energy is seeking Proposals from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers (Prospective Suppliers) who are interested in supplying Aurora Energy end-to-end solutions for the manufacture, factory acceptance testing, supply and delivery of 11/6.6kV indoor switchgear panels (Requirements) to enable Aurora Energy to deliver on network investment plans through-out Dunedin, Central Otago and Queenstown-Lakes over the next four to seven-year period.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to invite Prospective Suppliers to submit their Proposals for the supply of the Requirements to be purchased on a project by project based and installed by Aurora Energy at various zone substations in Aurora Energy's network.

The objective of this RFP process is to obtain sufficiently detailed information from Prospective Suppliers of the Requirements about their respective organisations and their ability to provide the Requirements. This enables Aurora Energy to select and appoint a Supplier to provide the Requirements over the next four to seven-year period.

Prospective Suppliers must demonstrate experience and evidence an exemplary track record in the successful delivery of similar Requirements substantiated by support from key client referees.

Furthermore, Prospective Suppliers shall demonstrate that they have the key personnel with the technical depth and a solid understanding of market requirements, that provide technical support as and when required, can act in collaborative manner, problem solve, deliver on promises and successfully manage the client relationship.

Importantly, Prospective Suppliers shall demonstrate that their proposed solution is fit for purpose and can easily be utilised for both brown fields zone substation sites as well as new, green fields, zone substation sites. Proposed Suppliers shall provide their quality management systems, sustainability and environmental credentials in support of their Proposal.

Aurora Energy are seeking certainty on the type of 11/6.6kV indoor switchgear panel that will form an integral part of new installations on Aurora Energy's network for both existing brown fields and new green fields zone substation sites, over the next four to seven-year period. Aurora Energy are therefore proposing to appoint a single Supplier to provide surety of the end-to-end solution for the manufacture, factory acceptance testing, supply and delivery of 11/6.6kV indoor switchgear panels.

In determining whether it is practical to appoint a single Supplier, Aurora Energy will need certainty that the Prospective Suppliers proposed solution:

• Is fit for purpose for both existing brown fields, and new green fields, zone substation sites, and;
• Can efficiently and cost effectively be retrofitted in existing brown fields zone substation sites, without impacting on the performance of those sites.
