⁠⁠⁠The ICT Application/System Support Engineer will be a member of the ICT Common Services Team and will coordinate and contribute to the work of the Technology and Information Management function within Comcare.

This role will be primarily responsible for BAU and Project support initiatives responsible for delivering the management, administration, and escalated support expertise for a range of software applications within Comcare’s ICT environment. The ICT Common Services team collaborates with vendors, service providers, developers and internal subject matter experts and promotes a strong client focussed ICT service culture to support Comcare’s business operations.

The Application/System Support Engineer will have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in your work and able to prioritise effectively to achieve outcomes. The Application/System Support Engineer is a senior support role within the ICT Common Services team will possess well developed technical skills to effectively support and improve the operation of COTS and bespoke applications within Comcare’s ICT environment.

To be successful in this role, you must be successful in developing and maintaining positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and have a very strong understanding of Microsoft technology stack including Office 365 and Azure.

The successful applicant will;
• Provide a technical escalation point for the incident management helpdesk;
• Design, implement and support resilient systems and applications within a virtualised Microsoft Windows Environment;
• Provide 3rd level technical support for Comcare’s core systems including Exchange 2010/2016, Server 2008/2012/2016, Commvault backups, Active Directory, Group Policy, Dynamics 365 (CRM), CM9 (HP TRIM) and EzeScan;
• Manage and implement application and system projects, BAU support and upgrades;
• Create application packages for deployment, and deliver administrative improvements through scripting of regular tasks or Octopus deploy;
• Proactively identify, diagnose and resolve technical issues;
• Create and maintain Information Technology procedures and management reports;
• Participation in other projects, providing work estimates, partnering with others to design and execute on projects that enhance system availability or application capabilities.
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of Information Technology procedures and standards.
• Identify opportunities for efficiencies
• Build and sustain productive relationships with supervisors, staff and team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.
• Seek and act on feedback from supervisor to confirm agreed performance.
