Western Water (the Principal) provides water, recycled water and sewerage services to almost 70,000 properties over an area of 3,000 square kilometres.
Western Water is implementing strategies to continually improve its 1,400km of sewerage assets.
As part of its ongoing commitment to customer service and protection of the environment, Western Water undertakes maintenance, rehabilitation, renewal and repair of its reticulation sewer mains. A component of the sewer service condition renewal works includes root treatment works undertaken on gravity pipelines to reduce blockages caused by root intrusion.
The Works to be executed under this Contract consist of the supply of all labour, materials and equipment necessary to carry out root treatment, including jet cleaning, root cutting and foam application, for gravity sewers of varying material types, lengths and diameters.
