Pittwater Road Upgrade (High Street To Field of Mars)

⁠⁠⁠ABOUT THE TENDER: The Council of the City of Ryde is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to provide construction works for a 2.5m wide concrete Shared User Cycleway along the western side of Pittwater Road (from High Street to Field of Mars). Optional works include extending the 2.5m wide concrete Shared User Cycleway from The Field of Mars to Rene Street.

This Request for Tender (RFT) requires the following key elements of the works to be provided:

• Removal, relocation and commissioning of 8 Ausgrid power poles, overhead wires and installation of street lighting;
• Rock cutting and embankment stabilisation works;
• Retaining walls;
• Drainage works, including the excavation, supply and laying of stormwater pits and pipes;
• Concrete kerb and gutter;
• Concrete footpath;
• Linemarking and signage;
• Landscaping;

Excluded from works include-

• Road re-sheeting;
• Linemarking.

A non mandatory pre-tender meeting has been scheduled for Monday 23 September 2019 at 2pm at Council's North Ryde Office, Level 1, 3 Richardson Place, North Ryde. It is recommended that all tenderers attend, so as to be fully informed of all relevant information and issues to be considered in the tender submission.

REGISTRATION: Tender documents must be obtained after registration. Tender documents may be obtained by first registering on the e-tending portal . .

CANVASSING SUPPORT: A Tenderer shall not directly, or indirectly, canvas support from an elected member, employee or Council at any time. Any Tenderer involved in such activity will result in their Tender being rejected.

SUBMISSION: Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box (preferred) using the attached word version of the Schedule. Respondents, will receive a successful submission, receipt timed and dated upon completion. Furthermore, hard copy submission can also be placed in a sealed envelope and endorsed with the Tender title, number and closing details. If submitting a tender via hard copy, the tender box is located in the foyer of Council's North Ryde Office.
