The Australian Training Awards (ATAs) are the peak, national awards for the vocational education and training (VET) sector and have been showcasing excellence in VET since 1994.The Awards are held annually in November in a different state or territory.
In 2019, 18 award categories will be presented at the Awards, with 78 finalists recognised during the presentation event. The event will be held in the Grand Hall at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) on Thursday 21 November 2019, and is expected to attract approximately 900 guests. This is a formal event with assigned seating for all guests, a three-course meal and entertainment provided.
The ATA secretariat are seeking a supplier to provide event management services for a three-year term to plan and manage the ATA presentation event (Awards).
The ATA secretariat (located in the Department) has successfully managed the event for the past 15 years, and has already planned and progressed a majority of the activities associated with the 2019 event. Elements completed and/or sourced for 2019 include:
- Venue identification, selection and hire
- Catering
- Sound
- Lighting
- Audio-visual Presentation
- Entertainment/Performers
- Photographer
As a transitional year for event management of the Awards, the selected organisation will be required to work closely with the ATA secretariat in the planning and delivery of the remaining requirements.
