Tender Description
Forestry Corporation NSW Snowy Region is asking interested contractors to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of fire tower operators over the coming fire season.
Contract period would be approximately from November 2019 to April 2020 with a possible extension of contract into the following years.
We are accepting EOI on the individual towers or a selection of towers.
Successful contractor will be required to be a registered company, i.e. Pty Ltd.
Fire tower operators will be supplied on the job training by FCNSW.
All required equipment will be supplied to the operator by FCNSW.
Towers are required to be manned on a 7 day a week basis, with individual operators not working more than 10 consecutive days, and then must have 2 days off.
Indicative hours of work 10:00 to 18:00 all days of the week from November to April. Longer days are required during high fire danger periods.
Transport to and from towers is to be supplied by contractor.
Towers have limited amenities which will not support living onsite, offsite accommodation will be required.
