Tender Description
Whanganui District Council (WDC) are inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors for the following:
1) Summarised design proposal for design and build of new gantry system.
2) Detailed Design of the proposal - Please note this will include the following:
a. A structural review of the existing structure to ensure capacity to support new gantry works. This may include a review of the structural as-builts, in-site testing or other works required by a suitably qualified Chartered Engineer.
3) Construction of the proposal:
a. The gantries are required to service the delineated areas of the pre-treatment facility as two separate areas: Area A and Area B. The two zones are separated by a 600mm wide roofing support beam.
b. The lifting requirement across all areas to be services is to be a minimum vertical load of 5 tonnes.
c. The design must allow for connectivity between between the two zones.
