Bon Thomas Reserve Expression of Interest Winter Tenant

⁠⁠⁠ Council is undertaking an Expression of Interest process to identify the most suitable future winter tenant for Bon Thomas Reserve located in Adeline Court, Deer Park.

Bon Thomas Reserve comprises two rectangular sports grounds (approx. 120m by 68m) that are suitable for senior and junior level sport. There is Sportsground lighting on both grounds. The soon to be constructed pavilion is approximately 550m2 including social room, meeting room, four change rooms, kitchen, first aid room, storage and umpires room. There is a small playground to the side of the rectangular sports ground and a 64 space car park with lighting.

Also on site but not included in this Expression of Interest is an oval with lighting and a sports change room building comprising of two change rooms, umpires room and storage.

Council’s broad aims for Bon Thomas Reserve are:

To provide a facility to address the demand for winter sport in Brimbank
To provide a facility for the development of participation opportunities, especially for females, juniors, newly arrived and cultural diverse communities
To provide a facility to allow for sporting programs and activities for the wider community with the aim of fostering growth of both formal and informal sport
To provide a facility that engages with the surrounding Deer Park community through the activities of the tenant sports club
To maximise use of the site / multipurpose use
The Expression of Interest is only open to sports clubs who are interested in occupying Bon Thomas Reserve as the Winter tenant (1 April to September 30) annually on a Seasonal License Agreement.

Applications must be made on the official Bon Thomas Reserve Expression of Interest Online Application Form and submitted no later than 11:59pm Monday 23 September 2019.
