Invitation for Expressions of Interest: Campus Network Upgrade - Wired and Wireless Network Infrastructure for Melbourne Polytechnic

⁠⁠⁠Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking responses to this Invitation for Expressions of Interest to Supply the Campus Network Upgrade – Wired and Wireless Network Infrastructure for Melbourne Polytechnic.

The purpose of this EOI Process is to assess the ability of Respondents to provide the goods/services required by Melbourne Polytechnic.

There are two mandatory requirements that Respondents must meet for their submissions to be considered:
* Respondents must satisfy at least Gold or global gold reseller certification; and
* Respondents must have proven and demonstrable experience (citing specific reference sites), with supplying and implementing large scale Cisco/Meraki network equipment (i.e. capacity and capability to deliver 500 plus network switches, 1000 plus wireless access points, supplying for Australian tertiary institutions, etc).

The implementation scope of work should cover the following Items:

(A) Supply of equipment including core switches, access layer switches and Access Points

1. Deliver equipment based on schedule and equipment site designation
2. The bill of material is attached (Appendix A Pricing Structure - Bill of Materials)

(B) Professional services.

Design the core and access network. This includes-
1. Implementation of OSPF
2. 1X implementation for Wireless and Wired Network
3. Topology layout
4. Existing VLAN allocations
5. High availability core for main campuses

Staged integration with existing network infrastructure during the rollout

Integrate with existing infrastructure

a) Fortigate Firewall
802.1X access to Meraki Dash Board

b) Aruba ClearPass
802.1X authentication wired and wireless

c)VOIP phones and CUCM infrastructure

Configure the Meraki portal for all the Meraki access, wireless and core devices

Provide As-built documentation

Delivery as a Fixed Priced project

Project Manager – single point of contact from the supplier

Provide knowledge transfer and training as part of the implementation, including documents, demonstration to Melbourne Polytechnic staff on how to use the Meraki Portal to manage the environment and detailed training for administrators and network engineers. Please provide specific details.

Prepare and document the various plans as required in the infrastructure implementation before the installation of the system

Confirm that the overall system meets requirements and is ready for acceptance testing
