Tender Details
Tender Description
Measurement of antimicrobial (specifically, antibiotic) usage (AMU) is seen as an essential aspect of the national management of problems associated with antimicrobial resistance. Reports are produced by organisations such as the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) reporting on usage in member countries. Reporting on antimicrobial usage for animals in Australia is occasionally reported by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, though sales data is reported annually. Additional data may be collected but not routinely reported.
The aim of this project will be to investigate and provide a model for data (current or future) might be analysed to provide information that would be useful for:
* reporting by government
* benchmarking national industry performance, and
* influence the development of national programs for optimising responsible antibiotic use.
MLA invites interested parties to submit tenders by 5:00 PM on Friday 23 August 2019 (Closing Date), to investigate the development of industry level systems for measurement of antimicrobial usage
