Wollumbin Street Retaining Wall Design and Construct

⁠⁠⁠This offer has been called to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to design & construct an anchored soil nail retaining wall in Wollumbin St, Murwillumbah.

The successful Contractor will remove the existing rock retaining wall and install a new anchored soil nail retaining wall. The new wall will allow for planned road and ancillary civil works in Wollumbin St to be constructed by Tweed Shire Council. Council is expecting to replace water and sewer mains on one half of the road whilst the Contractor is constructing the retaining wall on the other half of the road. Coordination of work between the Contractor and Council is required to successfully complete the project.

The Contractor shall engage a suitable qualified and experienced Geotechnical Engineer who shall certify the approved design, periodically inspect the works and certify the construction on completion.

The Contractor will be responsible to remove the existing wall, excavate to wall profile, drill and install soil nail anchors, shotcrete, render the face smooth and clad the wall with stone paving as approved. The Contractor shall construct a chain mesh fence and drainage (catch drain on top and strip drainage behind the wall facing) that shall be connected to grated pits or temporary kerb adapters.
