Scope of work
Rio Tinto, Dampier Salt Limited, requires a supplier to install a new roof on the main workshop at its Port Hedland site.
The scope includes the following:
a) prior to the works commencing, determine how to access the work areas;
b) remove roof sheeting over set areas sequentially;
c) remove all purlins, tie bracing, angle bracing, vent work and replace;
d) structural remediation of any steelworks that is required;
e) repaint the structure in accordance with paint system PS001 which will be detailed in Company Specification AO-SPE-062 and provided at tender stage;
f) reinstall angle bracing, tie bracing and purlins;
g) install safety mesh and foam cell metal roof sarking; and
h) Install Ultra Steel roofing.
Note: Rio Tinto will supply all supply all steel and roofing structures.
