Project Marinus - Request for EoI for Project Management, Technical and Engineering Services
Tender ID: 387862
Tender Details
Tender Description
TasNetworks is presently conducting a Feasibility and Business Case Assessment into a second Bass Strait electricity interconnector between Tasmania and Victoria, Marinus Link.
The Feasibility and Business Case Assessment has received $20 million in funding support from the Tasmanian Government through TasNetworks and the Commonwealth Government through the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).
TasNetworks has released its Initial Feasibility Report into Marinus Link which represents the achievement of the first milestone for Project Marinus. The release of the Initial Feasibility Report coincides with a $56 million funding announcement from the Commonwealth Government. The 2019 Federal Budget locks in the commitment of $56 million to progress Marinus Link.
Expressions of Interest are invited from suitably qualified organisations to provide project management, technical and engineering services throughout the Design and Approvals Phase, and if Marinus Link ultimately proceeds, provide Owners' Engineer services throughout the Construction Phase. This is the first phase of a two stage selection process.
TasNetworks expects to invite up to four shortlisted Applicants to submit a proposal for the provision of project management, technical, engineering and owners' engineer services in connection with the project.
