This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
This role will have responsibility for daily and emergency operation and maintenance of communications, voice and network infrastructure including third tier. The role includes technical consultation on project designs, validation of operational requirements and contribution to the design, planning, implementation and maintenance of data communications, security, components and associated infrastructure.
The specialist will work with a team of network and telephony staff and will be required to interact with a range of technical teams within Information Technology Services (ITS).
Under broad direction of the Manager - Network and Telephony team, the Senior Network Support Engineer will:
* Have senior responsibility for the operational management and delivery of network services across the ANU.
* Undertake a senior role in the identification and resolution of network problems following agreed procedures.
* Manage network management server/systems, monitor and capacity planning of network services.
* Develop, document and implement change within applicable change control procedures.
* Mentor and assist in the technical development of junior staff
* Undertake a senior role in the design, development and documentation of network services across the ANU.
