Tender Description

Agriculture Victoria Research (AVR), a division of the Victorian Government Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) delivers science and technology for transformational impact on productivity in major agriculture industries and protects industries and access to markets through biosecurity innovation. Mass spectrometry technology is an essential tool for proteomics and metabolomics research.

AVR are seeking responses from suitable commercial entities to supply a fully integrated LCMS system and a GCMS system that will complement the existing equipment and enable the Department to generate more data with greater depth than is currently possible. With current instrumentation the department has access to various LCMS systems including qTOF, MALDITOF, QQQ and orbitrap technology as well as a GCMS system with QQQ technology. AVR are seeking an additional higher mass resolution LCMS instrument (i.e. greater than 100,000 resolution) to aid in the analysis of complex mixtures (e.g. lipids and peptides) and with positive/negative polarity switching for accurate mass determination to reduce time for metabolomics analysis. In addition, AVR are also seeking a high resolution, accurate mass GCMS instrument for the more sensitive analysis of volatiles and to allow additional structure information to be summarised.

Your organisation is invited to submit an offer to supply a LCMS (liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer) and/or GCMS (gas chromatography-mass spectrometer)
