Expected type of works for plant and machinery for maintenance and emergency works at the Macalister Irrigation District (MID) for channels and drains
Emergency works (as required).
Erosion works (channel rebuilding as required).
Carting and placement of fill and rock beaching at various sites in the restoration of earthen channel embankments.
General channel cleaning / de-silting (Lifeblood program).
Pipe line repairs (steel clamps installation).
Tree removal.
Repairs to channel and drain crossings, (both Roads and SRW owned Farm crossings).
Channel leak repair.
Channel bank coring / clay lining.
Drain cleaning.
Concrete repair to headwalls for both channels and drains.
