Tender Description
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has procured four Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft and the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) is transferring the RNZAF’s Air Surveillance and Maritime Patrol Squadron to RNZAF Base Ōhakea. These changes have resulted in the need for the construction of associated infrastructure at RNZAF Base Ōhakea to support the Base's new capability. The project to deliver the new infrastructure is called the P-8A Infrastructure Project (the Project).
The works will be split into two separate packages which will be procured through separate procurement processes. At this stage the two works packages are proposed to be:
• Package 1 (228-15) comprising enabling works, civil works and airside infrastructure and taxiway upgrades works. This will be a procured through a single stage Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
• Package 2 (228-16) comprising construction of all buildings and all building foundations. This will be procured through a two-stage process comprising a Registration of Interest (ROI) followed by a RFP.
Parties who are interested in submitting proposals for the Project are invited to attend the P-8A Infrastructure Project Market Briefing on 12 June 2019. The Market Briefing will include an overview of:
• The Project;
• The proposed works packages and delivery models;
• The proposed procurement processes; and
• The proposed contracts.
