Talngatta (Victoria) Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠North East Water is intending to upgrade the Wastewater Treatment Plant at Tallangatta, Victoria including demolition of the existing plant. The current plant consists of a grit chamber, primary sedimentation, sludge digester tank, trickling filter, maturation pond and winter storage lagoon.

The upgrade will include;
* Enclosed inlet screen
* Four lagoons with 30-day detention for an average inflow of 0.5ML per day or 183ML per annum
* Installation of aeration in two lagoons with DO monitoring
* Convert maturation lagoon to sludge drying; and
* Install transfer pumps to winter storage

North East Water is completing a preliminary design that will be issued as part of an RfT to the open market seeking to engage a Principal Contractor under a design and construct contract to deliver this project.
