Tender Description
The purpose of the works is to design and construct an astronomy and science centre at Victoria Park (Oxley Reserve), Tamworth NSW.
The Tamworth Regional Astronomy and Science Centre project incorporates the detailed design and construction for the following:
Stage 1 Tamworth Regional Astronomy and Science Centre (TRASC) building will house various public displays, collections and equipment. It will also function as a clubhouse for the Tamworth Regional Astronomy Club.
Stage 2 Main Observatory with a mechanical roll-off roof. This building is to house Tamworth Regional Astronomy Club equipment.
Stage 3 Hewitt Observatory with a mechanical roll-off roof. This building is to house Tamworth Regional Astronomy Club Hewitt Cameral Telescope.
Stage 4 Viewing alcove/ storage / toilets addition to provide additional amenity and storage facilities for the TRASC building, and access for public viewing into the Main Observatory.
Stage 5 Planetarium is to provide an immersive theatre projection experience.
All other design and construction works required to completed the design and construction of a fit for purpose facility.

A compulsory pre-tender meeting will be held Thursday 23 May 2019 at 10:00am and at Tamworth Botanic Gardens.
