The Wellington City Council, through the Parks, Sport and Recreation business unit, is responsible for providing and maintaining parks and reserves for the benefit of the public in Wellington City.

This maintenance programme encompasses the replacement of the artificial turf playing surfaces on various city playing fields over the next four years.

We are looking for a party who can lead a multi-disciplinary team to provide the design for the required maintenance works and deploy construction resources sufficient to deliver those works to improve these current artificial playing surfaces.

The actual works anticipated are aligned with asset maintenance principles given that the playing fields are undergoing a form of ‘asset renewal or upgrade’ works.

The successful delivery of this programme of works will ensure that the playing fields, managed by the Council, continue to satisfy the needs of the different sporting bodies and users.
