The Water Security Infrastructure - Stage 1 Project for the Haughton Pipeline Duplication
consists of a new bulk water supply scheme with capacity to transfer 234 ML/day of raw water from the Upper Haughton Irrigation Channel (UHIC) to Toonpan Creek at the head of the Ross River Dam (RRD), to contribute to meeting the bulk water supply for Townsville.
The Water Security Infrastructure - Stage 1 Project will provide extra capacity of 234 ML/day in addition to the existing capacity of the existing Haughton Pipeline being around 122 ML/day.
The works cover the supply, factory testing, delivery and onsite commissioning support for four (4) kiosk substations complete to Townsville City Council (TCC).
The substations will be used to supply large (~680kW) submersible low voltage pumps through 6 pulse low voltage variable voltage variable frequency drive equipment. The substations will also supply control systems, building services equipment and other supporting equipment.
The offered equipment shall be suitable for this intended purpose for the design life of the installation.
