Tender Description
Council is looking to change the way its employees work, shifting from a current desk bound environment to contemporary mobile working solutions supported by cloud-based applications. To achieve this, Council is looking to renew its current end user computing device fleet.
Aging PCs and mobile devices are becoming inadequate to perform daily tasks. Old technology and operating system are not compatible with new Microsoft Office 365 environment. Due to aging there is a high risk of hardware failure and replacement of parts and devices is proving difficult.
Furthermore the limited vendor support adds another layer of difficulty to perform day to day operations.
Currently Council have on its 8 separate sites under 7 different brands;
267 desktops
52 laptops with docking stations
222 monitors
84 tablets
Modern end user computing solutions will increase productivity through increased mobility via Microsoft Office 365 environment.
New and upgraded computing solution will increase security and productivity through upgrading to the latest operating system.
Upgrade of the fleet will enable ICT staff to focus on process improvement rather than dealing with hardware failures.
