Metro South Health and Hospital Service is seeking Expressions of Interest for the provision of Design and Construction Works for the Mental Health Decision Unit at Logan Hospital.
The Mental Health Decision Unit at Logan Hospital involves the redevelopment of the central courtyard within Logan Hospital Emergency Department - Building 3 to provide a new assessment/waiting area for patients who require mental health assessment and management for a period of up to 24 hours. The redevelopment will include the construction of a new structure within the courtyard of the Emergency Department - Building 3. The new build will attach to the existing building and will connect to existing services and infrastructure. The new build will include the addition of a rooftop garden linking into the existing Building 3.
Redevelopment will include:
* Patient waiting areas (up to 24hrs) – Ambulatory service only
* One seclusion room with dual egress
* One Consult room with examination couch
* Staff Station – for approx. 3 staff
* Workroom
* Medications rooms
* PWD WC with full anti-ligature fit-out
* Staff WC
* Supervised beverage bay with vending machine
* Secure external courtyard space
Total area 282m2
* Rooftop Garden construction with access to level 3
Total area 158m2
All associated works must be compliant to the relevant Australian Standards regulations and guidelines.
