Tender Description

The Supplier is to provide a proposal, including costings for a trial floating evaporator system to be located on the Mount Morgan Mine-sites’ Open Cut Pit. The proposal is to provide options for both supply/delivery only as well as for supply/delivery and full system installation and address the following basic elements:

* Location of the proposed trial system will be adjacent to the location of the land-based evaporator system and utilise that system’s available power supply capacity . 

* Design requirements specific to the variable and adverse conditions found on the Mount Morgan Mine-site’s OCP, taking into account maintenance requirements.

* Limitations of the proposed trial in terms of the currently available power supply.

* Potential for incorporation of an expanded evaporator network utilising either of two additional/alternative power supplies, described above. 

* Provides DNRME with sufficient details to evaluate a range of evaporator capacities versus costs and efficiencies. 

* Addresses design and compliance requirements in terms of Australian standards and/or industry standards etc. as/if applicable.

* In the case of the supply only option, provides sufficient documentation to enable DNRME and contractors to install the evaporator system and associated infrastructure and meet ongoing maintenance, engineering and compliance requirements. 

* In the case of the design, supply and installation option, successful commissioning will include a requirement for the system to demonstrate a capability for continuous operation.

* All site work is to be undertaken as per the 2018 Mount Morgan Mine-site Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan.
