Tender Description
Gwydir Shire Council (the Principal) is seeking submissions from appropriately qualified and experienced contractors for the excavation and removal of approximately 1,383m2 of Giant Cane Grass from the southern and northern banks of Reedy Creek, Warialda NSW.

The scope of works for this RFP includes:
South Bank – Access via Holden Street (Behind Captain Cook Park)
* Section 1 - Excavation of approximately ~863m2 of Giant Cane Grass
* Section 2 - Excavation of approximately ~255m2 of Giant Cane Grass
North Bank – Access via Holden & Long Streets
* Section 3 - Excavation of approximately ~265m2 of Giant Cane Grass
The Contractor is also responsible for:
* Developing access paths to excavation area for plant and rehabilitation;
* Transfer of Grass and other debris to the Warialda Waste Depot (Rubbish Depot Road, Warialda);
* Battering of creek bank after removal;
* Remediation of land used to access bank; and
* The supply of all related equipment and qualified operators.
Note: All works are to comply with relevant Australian and council Standards. There will be no dumping fees associated with this work.
