Tender Description
Applications are now open for Tasmanian community based organisations, local governments and senior secondary colleges to apply for funding under the Learner Driver Mentor Program (LDMP).
The LDMP assists learner drivers who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle and cannot afford professional lessons, to gain the necessary driving experience required to achieve a provisional licence.
LDMPs match learner drivers with fully licensed volunteer mentors and a vehicle, which they can use to get supervised driving experience.
There is no limit for the amount of funding a program can apply for but a strong business case should be provided in line with the funding request.
Existing programs are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applications must be received by Friday, 29 March 2019 and will be assessed shortly thereafter.
