Tender Description
RFT 2018.066 Mount Barker District Council (the Council) invites Tenders from Tenderers for the construction of a pedestrian crossing and bus bay adjacent to Mount Barker High School on Flaxley Road, Mount Barker (the Services).
This project is aimed at improving student safety along Flaxley Road alongside the School and includes the following key features including:
* A new footpath adjacent to the school fence
* A new pedestrian crossing point with central island refuge
* An 80m long bus lay-by (plus tapers) for multiple school bus storage
* On-road dedicated cycle lanes in both directions
* Road widening, lighting, road markings & signage improvements
The project is supported by Council, Mount Barker High School, State Government and the Mount Barker Bicycle Users Group.
The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.
