Northern Beaches Council is seeking responses from suitably qualified and experienced market operators to provide services for the operation of a temporary pop-up fresh produce market on Sundays from 8am to 1pm (or times negotiated with Council) to operate at the Oliver Road Carpark Freshwater on a trial basis.
Council is seeking to have a temporary pop-up market operate in this location in response to Place Score Survey findings from 2018 which reflected that grocery and fresh food business was the highest priority for Freshwater.
The successful market operator will be required to manage, operate and promote the markets.
The market is to consist of an appropriate mix of produce stalls that have been approved by Council.
Council expects that the successful market operator will enter into a temporary permit arrangement and the fees and charges in Northern Beaches Council Operational Program for commercial markets will be applicable as per page 54 https://www.northernbeaches.nsw.gov.au/sites/default/files/fees-charges-2018-19.pdf
A refundable bond of $2,000 will be required for the use of the carpark prior to commencement of market.
