Productivity (On Farm) & Feedlot Evaluation Group Impact Assessment

⁠⁠⁠As part of MLA’s Statutory Funding Agreement (SFA), a 5 year Impact Assessment is required for all of MLA’s marketing and R&D investments, with the next Impact Assessment to be for the period 2015-2020. The 2020 Impact Assessment is to be completed by October 2019 so as to meet the deadlines for MLA’s 2020 performance review.

Previously, the Impact Assessment was carried out by external service providers every 5 years. However, MLA has now implemented an initiative (‘Project ROI’) that has brought in-house a version of the economic modelling that informed the calculation of MLA’s Impact Assessment, allowing the Impact Assessment to be carried out by MLA staff on an on-going basis.

MLA is seeking expressions of interest from organisations with the skill set to collect data relating to, and/or validate the ex-ante or ex-post impact on the on-farm or feedlot profitability of red meat production resulting from adoption/implementation of each of the investment outputs (products) outlined in the request for tender.

MLA will provide templates that include a MLA manager based adoption and impact estimate of the above data for each product as a starting point for validation.
