Parkes Shire Council Environmental Corrective Actions Related to PSC Water and Sewerage Schemes

⁠⁠⁠Parkes Shire Council (PSC the Principal) is seeking Tenders from appropriately qualified contractors for the provision of environmental corrective actions associated with various operational sites related to Parkes water and sewerage schemes.

The primary objectives for the scope of work are:
1. Install / construct / remediate appropriate environmental protective measures, and/or refurbish existing environmental protective measures (which may include sediment fence erection, rip rap placement, coir logs placement, etc).
2. Removal and disposal of remnant waste materials from site (which may include spoil from earthworks, unused materials from gravel stockpiles, or other rubbish).
3. Provide a period of weed control for specified projects areas.
4. Minor earthworks (which may include reshaping and stabilising existing stockpiles, and/ or create drainage pathways).
5. Dress and top soil existing stockpiles to promote a cover crop and stabilise the stockpile.
6. The corrective actions work shall be completed on time, within budget and without incidents (Health, Safety, Environment, Community, Quality, or HSECQ). The work shall also have minimal impact on the surrounding environment and areas.

All site / field work shall be coordinated with Parkes Shire Council's Project Management Office (PMO).

The AS 4906 - 2002 Minor Works Contract Conditions shall be the form of contract for this engagement.

A MANDATORY site briefing will be held on Thursday 31 January 2019 commencing at 10.00am AEST. Respondents shall assemble at the Project Management offices located at 203 Clarinda Street, PARKES and complete a site inspection of the sites.

Respondents attending the mandatory site briefing will require the minimum following PPE:
1. Long sleeve shirt and long pants
2. Safety boots
3. Eye protection
