Tender Description
RCP, on behalf of Townsville City Council and Townsville Airport Pty Ltd, invite potential tenderers to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to undertake the works required for the Townsville Airport Ground Transport Plan Package 1 (GTPP1) project.
TAPL intends to extend Meenan Street to connect with John Melton Black Drive as part of the Ground Transport Master Plan to improve the ground transport in and surrounding the Townsville Airport precinct. This proposal will provide a single entry to the airport on John Melton Black Drive.
The Halifax Street closure is intended to simply leave the road as is.
Other associated civil works to be completed as part of the roadworks includes stormwater mitigation and placement of fill on the adjacent lots. The stormwater mitigation includes the excavation adjacent the existing concrete lined open drain.
The existing gantry advertising sign will be modified and extended to suit the new road layout.
