Scope of work
Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) requires the provision of ad-hoc and urgent civil engineering and earthwork services across all its sites and ports in the Pilbara.
The Service Provider will be required to perform the following services, as a minimum:
(a) Clean up - including movement of materials and earthworks in and around plant equipment;
(b) Concrete pours - fabrication of pads and construction groundworks;
(c) Concrete services;
(d) Construction and maintenance of drains and culverts - development, design and construction of drainage and waterflow around site infrastructure;
(e) Construction - fabrication and building of structures, grounds;
(f) Developing pits;
(g) Dust suppression - suppression of dust around operating plants and administration areas;
(h) Excavation - digging and groundworks;
(i) Footpaths - clearing and building footpaths for pedestrian access;
(j) Laydown areas;
(k) Major / bulk earthworks;
(l) Minor earthworks;
(m) Managing stockpiles - managing load and haul procedures, stockpiles and ore product movement;
(n) Pre-strip soil;
(o) Preparation of drillpads;
(p) Provision of project management - development of management, Gantts and deliverables;
(q) Road construction and maintenance - ancillary roadworks on mine sites including asphalting;
(r) Roadworks - ancillary roadworks on mine sites including asphalting;
(s) Service trenching and installation;
(t) Site surveys and planning: site survey and geospatial mapping of areas and structures;
(u) Tailing dams;
(v) Traffic management - management of public infrastructure in movements of equipment or restriction of access; and
(w) Wet hire & dry hire - equipment and labour rental for site works.
