MLA is seeking expressions of interest from suitably skilled applicants to coordinate and deliver cost effective, whole of farm awareness events for the red meat sector, with the primary audience being producers.
It is proposed that the new event program will be initiated for three years for brand development with an aim of attracting a sustainable sponsorship for the program ongoing. It is proposed that the events will be coordinated by two contractors, one each for northern and southern Australia.
The successful contractor(s) will be responsible for meeting the below requirements in consultation with the MLA project manager and an existing working group:
* Engaging with local stakeholders particularly producers to build an attractive and regionally relevant agenda with a whole of farm and value chain focus.
* Determining the size and location of each event, ensuring relevance and coordination with events conducted by other organisations and providing effective marketing channels.
* Accounting for and coordinating all resources to deliver a successful event, which includes event chairing, speakers, event staff, administration, logistics, marketing and developing a sustainable longer term sponsorship package.
* Collecting and reporting event monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data as per the MLA template and guidelines and following up producers who wish to take the next steps in further skill and knowledge development. Note: The project aims for 10% of producers participating in the event to take further steps through MLA programs.
