The Victorian Optimal care pathways implementation program is overseen by Cancer Strategy and Development within the Department of Health and Human Services. Initiated in 2016, OCP implementation activities are largely undertaken by the Integrated Cancer Services and Primary Health Networks. Now well into its second year of state-wide activity, the program is sufficiently mature to ascertain its impact on the cancer sector.

The objective of this activity is to evaluate the impact of the Optimal care pathway implementation program, including the methods applied, on the cancer sector in Victoria.
