The Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB) is responsible for providing fire suppression, fire prevention, rescue and other emergency services in the Metropolitan fire district, covering almost 1,096 square likometres and has over 50 fire stations and supporting buildings within the area.

The MFB is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT 18/034) for the Supply & Delivery of two (2) Breathing Apparatus Support Vehicle body Builds which will sit on a Mercedes-Benz VS30 Sprinter 516 MWB (5 tonne) single cab chassis supplied by the MFB.

The works shall comprise of the maufacture of a purpose built body, the supply and installation of all associated equipment and fit-out as detailed in the Specification and drawings.

This Contract forms a critical part of the MFB fire appliance replacement program and adherence to time lines is paramount. Tenderers are required to provide realistic delivery dates and guarentees as to their abillity to meet these dates.

In issuing this RFT, the MFB seeks to identify a Tenderer who is;

* Able to provide the services required by the MFB in the manner as set out in the Specification
* Able to demonstrate a commitment and ability to working in collaboration with the MFB over the term of the Contract and to continuously seek improvement in value, efficiency and productivity in connection with the provision of the Contract
* Prepared to work with the MFB to continue to identify opportunities for improvement in the quality and level of service provided to the MFB for the mutual benefit of both parties.
