Alpine Shire Council is seeking the services of suitably qualified consultants to undertake a feasibility study for a childcare centre to be built in Porepunkah.
Alpine View Childcare Centre in Bright operates childcare services for families in the upper Ovens Valley region. Alpine View is at capacity and some families are missing out on childcare services or are being forced to travel to Myrtleford or Mount Beauty to access childcare.
The feasibility study will:
1. Analyse the need for additional childcare services;
2. Establish the requirements for a new centre;
3. Engage with key stakeholders to determine the opportunities and constraints of five potential sites in Porepunkah; and
4. Provide a concept and cost estimate for a new facility in the preferred location
