GE00433 - Cairns Seaport - Supply and Installation of Anodes - 2019
The Cairns Seaport marine infrastructure has numerous steel components in contact with the salt water environment of the Trinity Inlet. A large portion of these steel components are protected by sacrificial anodes.
The intent of this contract is to replace sacrificial anodes where necessary to ensure that all structural steel is adequately protected from corrosion.
The Contractor will be responsible for the supply and installation of anodes as outlined in this document.
The contract will be broken into the following phases:
* Phase 1: Order and supply the anodes for the works.
* Phase 2: Replace existing anodes or install new anodes as specified in the schedule.
* Phase 3: Undertake field testing to ensure that the steel components are protected.
The work to be performed under this Contract comprises the provision of all materials, plant and labour and the performance of all operations of whatever kind necessary for the complete and proper execution of the Works as described in this Tender Document. The Contractor is expected to be competent and experienced in the type of works included in this Contract and shown on the drawings.
