Signalised Intersection at Ferris Road & Hollingsworth Drive

⁠⁠⁠Council is seeking tender submissions from suitably qualified Civil Contractors for the construction of a signalised intersection at Ferris Road and Hollingsworth Drive.

The completed works will deliver a high quality intersection inclusive of civil, signal and landscaping works. Preference shall be given to Contractors who are able to provide evidence of past projects delivering high quality civil, signal and landscaping works within an active traffic environment.

This project will cover the following deliverables:
* Site and Traffic Management
* Civil Works
* Landscaping
* Relocation, realignment and Coordinator of Services installation (by others)
* Public Lighting
* Signal installation at Hollingsworth Drive and Ferris Road

Due to Melton City Council agreements with the Ballarat Line Upgrade, the practical completion date for the Main Contract* [*all works excluding the wearable course asphalt] of 31 July 2019 is critical to the opening of the Toolern Station. For this reason, liquidated damages apply to this contract.

This Contract has been divided into separable portions with different PC dates as follows:

‘Wearable Course’

* Separable Portion 2: PC Date: 30 November 2019

The separable portion for “wearable course asphalt” has been applied because the “wearing course asphalt” is weather dependent and unlikely to be performed in July.
