Tender Description
Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the appointment of two (2) Community members to the Council’s Future Proofing Telecommunications in Norfolk Island Project Consultative Committee for the duration of the Project (current contract end date 31 August, 2020).
The Committee will meet on a bi-monthly basis. The date of the first meeting is to be confirmed but is likely to be in late January 2019. The Group operates in accordance with Terms of Reference, which are available from Council’s website: www.norfolkisland.gov.nf/your-council/tenders-and-eoi
The purpose of the Committee is to:
* provide a forum for idea generation, review, and advice, regarding proposed activities related to the delivery of the Project
* review and endorse recommendations to Council including, but not limited to;
* the final scope and design and tender briefs to put to market
* the selection of successful infrastructure and network tenderers
* have input into the redesign of the Norfolk Island Telecom business model
* increase community awareness of the role and progress of the Project.
Members must be interested in the role of Telecommunications in the economic development of Norfolk Island and not for self-interest only.
