Tender Description
Thursday Island is a community of approximately 2,483 (census 2016) people located off the tip of the Cape York Peninsula. It is the major business centre hub for the Torres Strait Islands and the power station supports 188 commercial customers as well as residential customers.
The existing Genset #5 is approaching the end of its design life run hours, accumulating approximately 4,000 hours annually, and needs to be replaced.
The scope of this Invitation to Offer is as folows:
Design, manufacture, testing, supply and delivery of Generator Set as specified in the "Specification" to meet the technical and delivery requirements of Energy Queensland.
