Tender Description
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR or the “Principal”) invites prequalified Tenderers registered at R3 and F25 category and above to submit a Tender for the construction of the Warrego Highway Upgrade Program Chinchilla Open Level Crossing and Colamba Street Signalisation.
This project includes upgrade of the existing Warrego Highway to four lanes within the project extents, upgrade of infrastructure at the rail crossing, and the installation of traffic signals where Colamba Street crosses the highway. Other works include street lighting, storm water drainage and utility relocation.
A minor work component prequalification level of A3 is required for the asphalt works. The tenderer is to nominate a suitably prequalified subcontractor to undertake such work.
A successful Applicant must be accredited and maintain accreditation for the duration of the project under the Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme. Compliance with the Code for Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 is a mandatory requirement.
A mandatory pre-lodgement conference will take place at 10:00 am on Friday 30 November 2018 at the Department of Transport and Main Roads Office, 1-5 Phillip Street, Toowoomba.
To obtain documents, eligible prequalified contractors must email: DD_PS_PPC@tmr.qld.gov.au to apply for access. Once approved, documentation will be made available at the BAS website: https://www.hpw.qld.gov.au/bas/etender/.
Submissions are to consist of one original hardcopy submission, one copied hardcopy submission and 1 electronic set on USB, sealed and addressed: “PRICE TENDER FOR CN-8021”. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in a non-conforming Application. Applications submitted in response to the Tender are to be lodged in the Tender Box, Department of Transport and Main Roads, 1-5 Phillip Street, Toowoomba 4350 prior to 2:00pm on Friday 21 December 2018.
