Joint Health Command Garrison Facilities Upgrade Project – Head Contract (HC-1 2003) Puckapunyal Vic

⁠⁠⁠The project aims to provide fit-for-purpose, contemporary healthcare facilities as part of a comprehensive infrastructure solution intended to address deficiencies around condition and functionality of priority Joint Health Command facilities, providing primary health and associated health care to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel around Australia.

The works involved include construction services for a range of new build and refurbishment of existing health centre solutions. It will include demolition of some existing health centres.

A new health centre at Puckapunyal will be constructed on a vacant site (an unused sporting oval) on the corner of Mont St Quentin Road and Morobe Road, based on a fully documented design. The existing Health Centre will be demolished upon completion and transition into the new facility.

The single storey building is approximately 1,700m2 and will be a steel framed structure with a steel roof and will include services and finishes typical of modern health facilities. It will be a comprehensive modern health facility similar to a General Practice Super-Clinic with aspects of a regional hospital.
