Tender Description
Boral is a large Australian building and construction materials supplier with operations in all states and territories. The Boral Roofing business in Victoria produces roofing products at its production facility located in Springvale, Victoria. To complement the supply of roofing products to the building industry, there is a requirement for cartage of roofing products from the Springvale facility direct to building sites and customer facilities, both commercial and residential, located in the Melbourne and Geelong greater areas.
The cartage requirements include scheduling, load protection and restraint, cartage, unloading and placement of the roofing on third party sites. Roofing materials for cartage include roof tiles, fixing materials, accessories, battens and bagged sand. Trucks will be required to be fitted with two tonne all terrain forklifts, meet all local, state and federal heavy vehicle requirements (including HVNL) and comply with mass and dimension limits. In line with Boral’s Zero Harm policy, service providers will be required to demonstrate compliance with Chain of Responsibility requirements and regulations relating to construction sites.
Boral Roofing invite interested cartage service providers with fleet capability to service the total requirements, which are presently serviced by 4 to 5 trucks (please note that LOD’s or splitting the works will not be considered).
