Scope of work
Survey, design and construction of a diversion road and a new level crossing to allow for the replacement of a deteriorating Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) public level crossing at MLPA 314.5km, in order to renew the asset life.
The constructed diversion is expected to be utilised again for future rail maintenance works.
The Contractor will be required to:
* survey, design and construct the diversion road and crossing to facilitate the required replacement of MLPA 314.5km level crossing. Diversion crossing must be completed prior to Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) maintenance crew commences any work at the main level crossing.
* provide rail safety traffic management during the construction of diversion road and crossing works within the 10m Rail Corridor.
* complete all required works in accordance with Rio Tinto, Austroads, Australian, MRWA and Shire of Ashburton standards and guidelines.
* develop and document drawings, reports and details to provide clear direction of the required works, and assist in effective maintenance of the newly constructed asset.
